About the service
Duco Maison offers regular home watching of Scandinavian-owned houses in Languedoc, as well as coordination of local tradespeople, for Scandinavian homeowners. The service is run by a Swedish-speaking team based in the region.
Home watching, price tiers and what's included
Home watching is paid monthly, in three tiers:

Every visit includes: checking for damage, leaks, mail and signs of break-in, forwarding of important mail when needed, and a photo report with a short summary. All tiers also include contact in case of urgent issues and access to our supplier network. For houses outside our core zone (the Béziers/Narbonne belt), a fixed price is given at first contact.
The visit schedule is planned together for the year and individual visits can be moved if needed should your travel plans change.
Customer portal
All three home-watching tiers include access to a personal customer portal, at no extra cost. It contains: photo reports and meter readings (electricity, water, pool pH if applicable) with automatic comparison to the previous visit, visit history, the status of any renovation projects, and the option to book and pay for an extra home-watching visit yourself beyond your plan. Login is passwordless, via a link sent to your email.
Pool care
An add-on for those with a pool, added on to a regular home-watching visit. The price follows the same watching tier as the rest of your plan:

Skimming leaves and debris, emptying skimmer and pump baskets, checking the water level (topping up if a hose is easily accessible), a visual/audible check that the pump and filter start up without fault, pH measurement with a test strip (logged in the report, no dosing), and a photo of the pool in the regular photo report.
Chemical balancing, backwashing, repairs and seasonal opening/closing are not included in the Basic add-on, this is instead handled via tradesperson coordination below, with a local pool company.
Tradesperson coordination
Project management and tradesperson coordination is a standalone service that doesn't require a home-watching plan. The coordination fee is added to the tradesperson's invoice:

The customer always pays the tradesperson directly, never via Duco Maison. The fee is payment for the work of finding, quoting, approving and following up on the job.
Payment
Payment is made by card or SEPA direct debit, so no invoice ever needs to be chased manually.
