Data controller

What data we collect
- Contact details: name, email, phone number.
- Property details: address and information about the house and shutters you've given us.
- Photos and documentation: photos from the site visit and taken during the work, for the quote and follow-up.
- Payment details: handled by our CRM/payment provider, we don't store card details ourselves.
- Communication: emails, SMS or messages you send us.
- Messages via the web chat: if you use the chat feature on the website, what you write is processed by an AI service, in order to answer your question and keep notes for us.
Why we process the data
- Performance of contract: to provide a quote and carry out the shutter work you've ordered.
- Legitimate interest: basic administration, security and fraud prevention.
- Consent: if you opt in to marketing or a newsletter, always revocable.
Who the data is shared with
- Our CRM and communication system (GoHighLevel), which acts as a data processor for us. Certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, with Standard Contractual Clauses for EU data.
- AI service subprocessors that we use for our web chat (including interpretation and text generation). These providers may process data on servers outside the EU/EEA, always under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), the legal mechanism the GDPR itself specifies for this type of transfer.
- Payment provider for card payments.
We never sell personal data to anyone.
How long we keep the data
For as long as the customer relationship lasts, plus the period required by Swedish/French accounting law for financial records (normally 7 years for invoicing records). Photos and project notes are normally kept only while the project is ongoing, and deleted within a reasonable time after the job is finished unless otherwise requested.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, object to processing, restrict processing, and request data portability. Contact david@ducomaison.fr to exercise any of these rights.
Where the data is stored
Mainly in our CRM system's infrastructure (USA, with EU-US Data Privacy Framework certification and Standard Contractual Clauses for data transfer).
