Data controller
David Bergqvist (entrepreneur individuel, SIRET 108 215 542 00011), 3 Rue des Rosiers, 11440 Peyriac-de-Mer, France, is the data controller for the data collected through Duco Maison's services. Contact us at david@ducomaison.fr with any questions.
What data we collect
- Contact details: name, email, phone number.
- Property details: address and information about the house you've given us.
- Documentation from home-watching visits: photos and short notes, used to compile your photo report.
- Payment details: handled by our payment provider (Stripe), we don't store card details ourselves.
- Communication: emails, SMS or messages you send us.
- Phone calls with our AI assistant: if you call or are called by our AI assistant, the call may be recorded and processed automatically, in order to interpret between languages and keep accurate notes for us. This is always announced verbally at the start of the call.
- Messages via the web chat: if you use the chat feature on the website, what you write is processed by an AI service, in order to answer your question and keep notes for us.
- The customer portal: if you log in to our customer portal, we store your account (email, name), a secure login session (cookie), and the visit reports, meter readings (electricity usage, water usage, pool pH if applicable) and photos shown to you there. Login happens via a one-time link to your email, no password is stored. You only see your own data, never other customers'.
Why we process the data
- Performance of contract: to deliver the home-watching service and coordinate tradespeople you've ordered.
- Legitimate interest: basic administration, security and fraud prevention.
- Consent: if you opt in to marketing or a newsletter, always revocable.
Who the data is shared with
- AI service subprocessors that we use for our phone assistant and web chat (including speech recognition, interpretation and text generation). These providers may process data on servers outside the EU/EEA, always under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), the legal mechanism the GDPR itself specifies for this type of transfer.
- Payment provider (Stripe) for card and SEPA payments.
- Local tradespeople/suppliers, but only the contact information required to coordinate a specific job (e.g. name, phone number, address for the visit). Photos and other documentation from home-watching visits are never shared with third parties, only with you as the property owner.
We never sell personal data to anyone.
How long we keep the data
For as long as the customer relationship lasts, plus the period required by Swedish/French accounting law for financial records (normally 7 years for invoicing records). Photos and home-watching notes are normally kept only while the plan is active, and deleted within a reasonable time after cancellation unless otherwise requested.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, object to processing, restrict processing, and request data portability. Contact david@ducomaison.fr to exercise any of these rights.
Where the data is stored
Mainly on our customer portal's own server infrastructure, hosted within the EU (France). Only the subprocessors listed above (payment provider and AI services) may process data on servers outside the EU/EEA, always under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
